CURRICULUM VITAE
Francois J. GOUIN M.D., G.S., P.R.S., was born in CHARTRES,FRANCE on May 19 1950,
after coursing his primary ,secondary and high school education obtaining first place year after year,
he entered the University of PARIS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE in 1968,coursing the 7 years program
and receiving his Medical degree on June 19,1975, earning his "DOCTEUR EN MEDECINE" title
for his investigation thesis upon arterial hypertension treatment.
He moved then to MEXICO -CITY where he entered the General Surgery Residency Training program
at the renowned HOSPITAL ESPANOL, he graduated as a GENERAL SURGEON on Sept.10,1979
and was BOARD CERTIFIED in GENERAL SURGERY on Dec.15,1979.
After he acquired an extensive experience in general surgery, working full time in a
General Public Health Hospital for 7 years, Dr Gouin returned to FRANCE in sept.1986 to study
Reconstructive Surgery at the famous "HOSPITAL FOCH" in PARIS. Here he completed his
formal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Training during 3 years under direct
teaching by such World recognized Plastic Surgeons as Dr.Paul TESSIER "FATHER of
THE CRANIO-FACIAL SURGERY", Dr Louis MERVILLE well known for his extensive work on
Maxillo-Mandibular malformations, Dr Andre DUPUIS who wrote in his book on Facial Trauma : "
Dr Gouin was not considered by us merely as a training Resident but much as a wise collaborador ",
and Dr. Darina KRASTINOVA lifelong and best of Dr Paul TESSIER students, PIONNEER of the now
famous rejuvenation surgical technique known as "MASK-LIFT",
at present Head of the Cranio-Facial and Orbito-Palpebral unit of the Hospital Foch.
Dr Gouin was BOARD CERTIFIED by the FRENCH COLLEGE OF PLASTIC-RECONSTRUCTIVE and AESTHETIC SURGERY
on oct.26,1989, obtaining a third place at the College National Board Examination.
Then he returned to Mexico and established his private
Practice in ENSENADA, Baja California State, taking time to give service in RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
at the city Public Health Hospital, particularly in the area of Oncologic Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr Gouin was a General Surgery Training TEACHER at the Mexico Autonomous National University (U.N.A.M.)
from March 1980 to July 1986
HE is CERTIFIED by the US EDUCATIONAL COMMISSION FOR FOREIGN MEDICAL GRADUATES since July 27,1977
Dr Gouin is fluent in 3 languages French, English, and Spanish.
